WASHINGTON -- Sens. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) and Al Franken (D-MN) sent a letter Friday to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) highlighting their concerns regarding plans to expand Medicare to Americans between the ages of 55-64 without addressing inequities in current Medicare reimbursement rates. Such an expansion could exacerbate existing provider shortages in states that have low reimbursement rates.

WASHINGTON -– U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar, a member of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, and a key group of nine Democratic Senators, sent a letter to President Barack Obama in advance of the President’s visit to Copenhagen to negotiate international climate policy.
In the letter to the President, the Senators articulate 10 principles that should be followed to ensure climate policy is environmentally sound, affordable and fair.
