WASHINGTON -– U.S. Senators Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) and Mary Landrieu (D-LA) announced today that they have made a friendly wager on the outcome of Sunday’s National Football Conference (NFC) Championship Game between the Minnesota Vikings and the New Orleans Saints that will require the supporter of the losing team to prepare a home-state meal for the winning team’s constituents.

WASHINGTON -- U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar announced last week that $6.4 million in funding for important road, bridge and transit projects across the Twin Cities is included in the FY2010 Omnibus Appropriations bill.

WASHINGTON -– U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar, a member of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, and a key group of nine Democratic Senators, sent a letter to President Barack Obama in advance of the President’s visit to Copenhagen to negotiate international climate policy.

In the letter to the President, the Senators articulate 10 principles that should be followed to ensure climate policy is environmentally sound, affordable and fair.
