Is there a lot more salt being dumped on roads this winter season compared to others? Maybe I have never paid that much attention before, but it seems to me there is more on the roads.
I have been washing the salt residue off of the boulevard in front of my house in the spring in the past few years because prior to this I did not notice the salt residue as there was less sand deposit in the grass and my grass ended up burning away, so Kyle must be right on this. It has worked for me to spray off the boulevard in the spring and the grass gets fewer weeds and seems fuller now. Another note is that the price of windshield washer fluid has gone up and you have to make sure you are getting the winter grade fluid as some places are still selling the summer grade which will freeze in your tanks, so you might want to make sure you ask before you buy it. I was wondering if anyone gets sticky windows in Prior Lake as they are using a molasses mixture or something to that effect on their roads. I have been through there and not really noticed much difference on my windows or car.
Actually it's been a couple...
