I am writing this in frustration of all the people that can't seem to buy a ticket to watch the Hubmen football games. What started out last year of 1 or 2 people sitting on the hillside by the flags or standing on the fence line on the visiting sidelines has turned into about 50 to 60 people now. Now I know its "school property" and we are all "tax payers" and can "sit there if we want to" but come on! Walk down the sidewalk, buy a ticket, buy a game ball chance, head to the hot dog stand, then to the bleachers. Don't sit in the "cheap" seats.

I completely agree. I know the economy is a little rough right now, but go buy a season pass to the games, or pay to get in. Some days there are 50+ people sitting or standing along the fence to watch the game. Pull out your wallet and show some support of the team.

Back to page topHere's a few points to consider: (1)The people who are sitting there are technically not breaking any rules by doing so. They're finding a way around the system. The school needs to fix this IF it's a problem. (2)If the school sees it as a problem, then they will handle it. What could they do? Well, I guess they could put the ticket gates closer to the parking lot entrances to prevent the onlookers from "getting a free look". (3)How about the group of individuals that hang out along the track on the visitors sideline? I know for a fact that all of them are not serving a purpose of being there other than to watch the game. Granted they probably have to pay to get to that spot, but I'm pretty sure those spots wouldn't be available to all of us fans. Let's have those people sit in the bleachers too. If we are going to nitpick. (4)The same thing happens at Brewers games in the summer. People are sitting by the railroad tracks all the time. Should we try and fix that too?
IF people getting a look at the game from the hill is a big problem to some of you, then I would suggest you bring it to the attention of the administrators at school.
