I don’t know if it really...

I don’t know if it really applies to Jordan History so much as the People of Jordan.

I usually can not go places without coming across someone from our little town. One day while walking off the North Shore I heard someone calling my name. My wife and I looked up and saw someone from town (Jeff) standing on a balcony in Two Harbors. That was ok, but really it happens all of the time. So one day I was at work in Las Vegas and was explaining to my co-worker how this always happens, but so far on this trip, I had not come across anyone. I was getting on the Red Eye (which is the late flight out for people who really want to get home) I was relaxing in my seat after just telling my co-worker the story and what do you expect happened? A childhood friend from town was talking with one of my old neighbors in the front of the plane, of course I said hi.

Not enough yet. I went to Mexico with a few people from town. A pesky thing kept happening… some beer cans kept ending up on our balcony in the mornings. I was just about to blame the Canadians when I looked up and saw…. Yep a guy from town was on the balcony on the twenty second floor just above an over me “What are the odds?” We got on the bus in Acapulco and I noticed a sweet older lady there with her friends. No she was not from town, but did come here often to visit her niece and relatives and it was her nephew “I believe” that was in the balcony above me” None of this was planned. A day or two before we left we were sitting on the beach and what do you expect to come off of the beach? Yep, off of the beach walked another Former Jordan graduate.

I always liked Minnesota and Jordan in particular; I think it may have to do with the fact that it is a small town; however everyone seems to get around.
