Did I miss something here? Is Brandon just on a honeymoon, did his new wife make him quit the newspaper game, or has he found a different gig? & if he IS gone will someone replace him (tough shoes to fill) ? Inquiring minds want to know.

A previous post said that...

He became a school librarian...
Back to page topHe became a school librarian somewhere. We can blame it on his wife. He didn't even make it off the alter and she took total control.
A new reporter starts today....
Back to page topA new reporter starts today. Katrina Styx is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin in River Falls. She comes highly recommended by the editor of the River Falls Journal, where she last interned.
She'll be working in the Jordan office. Stop by and say hi if you wish.
More information about Katrina to come ...
Now, now, Ray. In sweet Molly's defense, Brandon is his own man. he can make his own decisions. He had been studying to get his master's degree for quite some time. I was a little surprised that he left as soon as he did, but the timing was right. He and I had many discussions about his career path, and he decided it was the right thing for he and his wife. No regrets here. We were lucky to have him work here for three years.

Good luck to Katrina! The JI...
Back to page topGood luck to Katrina! The JI is a great place for a reporter and the town is full of wonderful people.
I'll point out, too, that this is the second reporter in a row with River Falls connections -- I was born in River Falls.
Yeah! Thanks for the defense...
Back to page topYeah! Thanks for the defense of my lovely wife, Mathias. I was planning on staying at the JI for a while yet, but I had a chance for a great learning experience that would let me finish my graduate program while actually working in a school district. I had to take the chance, even if it meant saying goodbye to a great job and a great town.
And, just to clarify the timeline, I took the job before I even walked down the aisle and I started my grad degree long before I even knew Molly.
Of course, if she told me it was her or the JI, I'm sorry to say that Jordan would lose every time.
Brandon, I hope you are...
Back to page topBrandon, I hope you are enjoying your new career path. Good luck with Molly, also. Hope all is well.
I'm sure Ray didn't mean...
Back to page topI'm sure Ray didn't mean anything negative about Molly. Brandon, there are a lot of people here who miss you. Glad you're doing well.
