To celebrate the July 4th holiday, the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community invites the public to a free fireworks display at 10 p.m. Friday, July 4. For the 14th year in a row, the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community is sponsoring an elaborate fireworks display at their pow wow grounds in Shakopee.

The Pow Wow Grounds are located on Dakotah Parkway, just south of County Road 42 between County Road 83 and County Road 17.

The fireworks will go on, rain or shine, unless there is severe weather. The display is put on by the SMSC Public Works Department.

The fireworks can also be seen from various locations, including Mystic Lake Casino Hotel, Playworks, and Dakotah! Sport and Fitness parking lots.
