Seventy years ago, St. John the Baptist Catholic Church hosted a bazaar. During lunch and dinner, the church served 1,600 meals.

The St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Fall Festival took place Sunday, Sept. 21, in Jordan. The chuch served 1,472 chicken and ham dinners and gave away $4,700 in cash and merchandise.
Raffle tickets cost $2 each. The winners were:
- Sophia Wagner, Zoom whitening, donated by Dr. James Perry;
- Judy Dean, Day-White whitening tray, donated by Woodridge Dental;
- Roselyn Weiers and Lynda Eichten, half hogs, donated by Ralph and Myrna Wermerskirchen;
- Mamie Busch and Otto Chermak, $100 savings bond, donated by Flagship Bank;
Ten years ago, Paul Dillon and Tasha Quinnell reigned as homecoming king and queen at Jordan High School.

Thirty years ago Terry Hartman and Pete Scheffler were named Jordan High School's homecoming queen and king.
