Even though the city of Jordan says they must, the Petersons don't want to get rid of one of their three dogs. Here are a few reasons why:
Despite a city ordinance that bans residents from owning more than two pets, the Peterson family is making a push to keep their third dog, Jack-Jack, at their Jordan home.
They have a short amount of time to make a difference. Two weeks ago, while the family was vacationing and after a police officer drove by and witnessed barking dogs in the family's front yard, a citation gave them 21 days to comply with the ordinance. The impact: One dog must go.
Last week, the Jordan City Council voted to deny a kennel permit to the Petersons.
Seventy years ago, local 4-H members, parents, and friends met monthly at the home of Frank Beckman.
