Farmers market thrives in Jordan

The local farmers market is located in the parking lot of the historic St. John the Baptist Catholic School, near the intersection of highways 21 and 282 in Jordan. 

Erik Johnson sells wine jelly at the farmers market. He is the brother of Jordanite Emily Coleman, who makes the jellies using Chardonnay, Merlot, Shiraz, Sauvignon, Blanc, and White Zinfandel.

Various wares, like rugs and artwork, are also sold at the farmers market, which is open every Saturday morning through Oct. 25.

 

Scott Gysland of Sand Creek Township sells fresh vegetables at the farmers market. His garden is 4 acres.
