On Tuesday, Aug. 5, neighborhoods throughout Jordan are being invited to join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the 25th annual National Night Out crime and drug awareness event.
From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Aug. 5, residents in neighborhoods throughout Jordan and across the nation are asked to lock their doors, turn on outside lights, and spend the evening outside with neighbors and police. Many neighborhoods throughout Jordan will host a variety of special events, like block parties and cookouts with visits from law enforcement and emergency workers.
Here’s a list of the neighborhood parties of which the Jordan Police Department has been notified:
+ Cedar Ridge – The party for the Cedar Ridge neighborhood will be near the intersection of Homestead and Arabian drives.
+ Bridle Creek – There will be two parties in the Bridle Creek neighborhood. A west side Bridle Creek party will be in a lot along Forest Edge Drive. An east side Bridle Creek party will be at Bridle Creek Park along Bridle Creek Drive.
+ River Ridge – The part for the River Ridge neighborhood will be along Leon Street.
+ Jordan Townhomes – The party for the new neighborhood of townhouses will be along Augusta Court or in the neighborhood park.
+ Downtown – There will be two parties for downtown Jordan neighborhoods. One will be in the alley behind the Jordan Government Center parking lot. Another will be at the intersection of East and Mill streets.
+ Mill Pond – A party for the neighborhood near the Mill Pond will be in the triangle created by the intersection of Millpond Drive and Juergens Circle.
+ Timberline – A party for the Timberline neighborhood will be in Timberline Park, between Foxboro Way and Dakota Point.
+ Valley Green Mobile Home Park – The party for the Valley Green neighborhood will be at the park within the mobile home park.
+ Brentwood – There will be two parties for the Brentwood neighborhood. One will be at the park along Jennifer Lane. Another will be in the cul-de-sac of Hooper Court.
+ Schule Haus – A party for residents of the Schule Haus will be in the building’s community room.
+ Wexford Squares – A party for the townhomes in the Wexford Squares neighborhood will be along Bentley Court.
