A public information meeting will be held to present information on the Sand Creek Watershed Impaired Waters Study.
The meeting is intended to discuss the sampling results and modeling scenarios for implementation to reduce the sources causing water quality impairments in Sand Creek and its tributaries. The purpose of the meeting is also to receive feedback on management options.
The WMO and its partners would like to invite you to a public information meeting scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at the New Prague City Hall, 118 Central Ave. N.
This portion of the project addresses water quality concerns of Sand Creek, and an unnamed tributary to the Minnesota River in Scott County. These water bodies are listed as impaired by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA).
