The 2008 Scott County Fair will be held July 23 through July 27 in Jordan.
Scott County will again be showcasing county services in a large display booth in one of the commercial buildings. Its booth will feature a sandbox (complete with Scott County Tonka trucks) and stories at the sandbox read by Scott County librarians; “Bernie the Burn Barrel”; a
new county snowplow vehicle; a seatbelt car rollover simulator; the Public Health Command Center (open noon to 6 p.m. taking free blood pressure checks, providing summer awareness trivia and a rest area for nursing mothers); and, as always, balloons, giveaways and information about the services Scott County provides our community.
The fair Web site is www.scottcountyfair.com.
