Scott County Public Health is providing seasonal flu vaccination clinics at senior sites around the county this flu season. Clinics at senior sites are for adults only.
The cost of a seasonal flu shot is $25.
There is no charge for those on Medicare Part B, but you must bring your Medicare card to the clinic.
Local senior flu shot clinics remaining are:
- 9 a.m. to noon today (Thursday), McKenna Crossing, 13810 Shepherds Path NW., Prior Lake
- 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday, Boessling Lutheran Village Apartments, 850 Prairie Drive W., Belle Plaine
- Noon to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Phillips Square, 116 First Ave. NW., New Prague
- 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, Northridge Apartments, 101 Fuller St. N., Shakopee
- 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Valley View, 4061 173rd St. W., Jordan
Public Health is offering a seasonal flu vaccine for adults and children older than 6 months during its regular immunization clinics, every Monday from 1 to 5 p.m. the Scott County Public Health office in the Workforce Development Center, 792 Canterbury Road, Suite A160.
Children that are uninsured or who have insurance that does not cover vaccines can also receive a seasonal flu vaccination at no charge through the MnVFC program but only at the Monday clinics.
Adults and families with vaccine coverage are encouraged to see their local provider for their yearly seasonal flu shot.
FluMist, the nasal spray, will also available only at the Monday clinics for $35. FluMist is available for healthy individuals ages 2 to 49 years who are not pregnant.
