The Jordan School Board is looking for a superintendent who knows a little something about school finance.
Skill in finance was the most important characteristic that the board identified in its search for a new superintendent. The board used part of its workshop meeting to discuss the strengths and characteristics they want to see in during their search.
The board is also looking for two to four more members for the community superintendent search committee. While the original deadline for joining the committee has passed, only eight district residents applied.
Board Member Joe Benko said he wasn't satisfied with the cross section of citizens represented in those citizens.
If you're interested in joining the citizen committee that will meet with the superintendent candidates interviewed by the board, call the district office at 952-492-6200.
