School starts Sept. 2 for students in Independent School District No. 717 and at St. John the Baptist Catholic School in Jordan.

Jordan Public Schools' open houses are scheduled to take place: Aug. 25 for Jordan High School's 10- to 12-grade students; Aug. 26 for middle school students; Aug. 27 for ninth-grade students; and Aug. 27 for elementary school students. 

St. John's open house is set for Aug. 28.

All Jordan schools have the same Christmas and spring breaks. Christmas break runs from Dec. 24 to Jan. 4, and students will be off from school March 23-27 for spring break.

The high school graduation is set for May 30, and St. John's sixth-graders will graduate June 4.
