It was defense that carried the Jordan Brewers all year.
At the state tournament it was their defense that let me down.
The Brewers committed five errors in losing 6-4 to the defending state champion Miesville Mudhens on Saturday night at Chaska's Athletic Park.
The Brewers led 3-0 after two innings but than committed three errors in the top of the third inning to allow Miesville to score four runs and take the lead.
Jordan tied the game in bottom of the fourth on an RBI groundout by Adam Frey.
Miesville regained the lead in the seventh inning with two runs.
The Brewers were unable to muster up another rally and their season came to a close.
"It was by far our worst defensive game of the year," manager Jason Chalupsky said.
