Last month, Cedar Summit Dairy in Helena Township hosted 150 people for dinner at one long table in a pasture.
Guests tried wines from Minnesota wineries and ate food that came from area farms and local farmers markets. Chefs from Heartland Cafe and the Corner Table in Minneapolis cooked prime ribs of veal, soup, beans, and red potatoes.
"People learn about a specific place through the meal," Jim Deneven, the organizer of the event called Outstanding in the Field, told the New Prague Times.
